To light the charcoal, open the door and remove the cooking grate

Place a couple of starter sticks under the coal grate, and pour in the charcoal

The charcoal will be lit in about 10 minutes

Spread the coals any way you want them. Single zone or dual zone.

The T1 is made from the same heavy materials as our other grills. 304 stainless and marine grade hardware.

 
The cooking grate has large handles that don't get hot, so you can use it to serve the food, or to access the firebox
